Waffle Recipe
This easy waffle recipe is one of the nicest - it produces really crisp waffles. | If you are after healthy breakfast recipes, serve these waffles with berries and maple syrup. EasyPreparation time: 5 minutesCooking time: about 2 minutes per waffleMakes 8 wafflesIngredients: 2 cups flour2 teaspoons baking powder2 eggs1 tablespoon sugar2 cups buttermilk3oz / 90g butter, meltedMethod: - Mix together all the ingredients.
- Grease the waffle iron if necessary. Place a ladle of batter onto the waffle iron. Close the lid and cook for 1 - 2 minutes until the waffle is crisp and golden brown. Remove the waffle and repeat the process.
- Serve with the following accompaniments:
fresh berriesmaple syrup or honeycream (or ice-cream if this is a dessert)crispy lean bacon or hamsmoked salmon, dill and cottage cheesegrated cheese, basil and cherry tomatoes
