This Swedish Meatball Sauce recipe is the perfect accompaniment for our Swedish Meatballs Recipe. | Although it is a thick sauce, the tartness of the sour cream and the freshness of dill work well with the meatballs. This dill sauce recipe is also good over baked potatoes. If you are very conscious of following a heart healthy diet, omit the cream and add a few tablespoons of fat free yogurt. EasyPreparation time: 3 minutesCooking time: about 5 minutesMakes about 2½ - 3 cupsIngredients: 2 tablespoons butter4 tablespoons flour2 cups chicken stock1 cup sour cream3 tablespoons chopped fresh dillsalt and pepper to seasonMethod: - Melt the butter in a small pot. Add the flour and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add the chicken stock slowly, stirring all the time. Cook until the mixture thickens and just boils.
- Add the sour cream and remove from the heat. Stir in the fresh dill. Season.
