Meatless Meals and simple vegetarian recipes are a feature of our Monthly Meal Planning Menus. Because they don't contain any animal flesh, they can be enjoyed by vegetarians. However, all these vegetarian recipes are delicious and even seasoned meat-eaters will enjoy them. My personal philosophy is that it is important to have one or two vegetarian or almost-vegetarian meals a week. Protein is easily acquired from meat, chicken and fish, and most important, one gets iron from red meat. However, vegetarian meals, and more particularly, raw vegetable meals, play an important role.
