EasyPreparation time: 5 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutesMakes 2½ - 3 cupsIngredients: 1 medium onion, finely diced1 clove garlic, crushed3 medium tomatoes, diced (about 1lb / 450g)1 cup tomato ketchup2 tablespoons tomato paste2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce1 teaspoon dry (English) mustard3 tablespoons dark brown sugar1 teaspoon paprika1 teaspoon cayenne2 tablespoons cider vinegaroil for shallow fryingMethod: - In a pot, fry the onion in a little oil until it is soft and slightly brown.
- Add the garlic and cook for a minute.
- Add the tomatoes and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients.
- Simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. Be careful that the sauce doesn't burn. Add a little water if necessary.
