Garlic Shrimp Pasta Recipe
This delicious Garlic Shrimp Pasta Recipe works well with long, thin pasta, such as spaghetti, tagliatelli, fettuccine or linguine. For this recipe, I wish that there was a smell machine on computers, because the aroma of simmering garlic and shrimps is phenomenal! I favor using fresh pasta for its flavor and texture. If you are not able to get hold of it, then obviously, dry pasta will suffice.
EasyPreparation time: 5 minutesCooking time: 20 minutesServes 4Ingredients: 8oz / 250g good quality pasta1 lb / 450g shrimps2 - 3 oz / 60 - 90g butter2 cloves garlic, crushed½ cup white wine½ cup parmesan, finely gratedMethod: - Cook the pasta according to instructions on packet, until it is 'al dente.' Drain.
- Melt 1 - 2 oz butter and add the shrimps in batches until they are just cooked. Keep aside.
- Add the garlic to the pan with remaining butter. Slowly add the wine and simmer until it has reduced slightly. Add the parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly. (There is not a lot of sauce in this recipe.)
- Add the pasta to the sauce and finally the shrimps. Mix briefly. Serve immediately with a big salad.
