Garlic Mash Potato Recipe
This Garlic Mash Potato Recipe makes a nice change from your regular mashed potato recipes. EasyPreparation time: 5 minutesCooking time: 20 minutesServes 6Ingredients: 2lb 2oz / 1 kg potatoes, peeled and quartered2oz / 60g butter2 cloves garlic, crushed½ cup milk, full fat or fat free½ teaspoon saltMethod: - Boil the potatoes until they are soft. Drain. Mash them with a steel potato masher (plastic mashers just don't work).
- Add the garlic, butter and salt. Mash until the potato hasn't got any lumps in it.
- Gradually add the milk and mash until the potato is light and fluffy - you may find that a whisk works at this stage.
- Serve this with GOOD quality sausages (pork, lamb or beef - spicy or plain) and Carmelized (or Caramelized) Onions.
