Barbeque Dry Rub Recipes

These Barbeque Dry Rub Recipes are versatile. Rubs are great if you are after healthy grilled chicken recipes which offer flavor. They are also great rubbed into meat, fish or even Roasted Vegetables Recipe. You will find that rubs offer variety and interest with very little cost. Plus, if you are budget meal planning, you will find that your tasty Roast Chicken with Garlic, Rosemary and Orange Zest Rub will make another meal as Easy Chicken Enchiladas, Chicken Pasta Bake or Easy Chicken Salad.

  • Ingredients: Barbeque Dry Rub Recipe 1

    This dry rub works well with Beef Tenderloin or with Rotisserie Chicken.

  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon mixed dried herbs
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic flakes
  • 1 tablespoon zest
  • Method:

  • Using a pestle and mortar, crush the coriander seeds. Add the other ingredients and continue to crush. You won't be able to achieve a powder-like texture, but you want a mixture that will work as a 'rub'.

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic flakes
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Method:

  • Crush the garlic flakes. Mix together all the ingredients. This is great as an alternative to Roast Chicken with Garlic, Rosemary and Orange Zest Rub.

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons orange rind
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely snipped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Method:

  • Crush the garlic. Add the other ingredients and pound until you have a mixture part way between and paste and a rub. This is great rubbed into fish or chicken. Just brush with oil and grill.

    Although this recipe uses fresh coriander and garlic, I still consider it a 'dry rub' as I massage it into fish or chicken and it isn't wet marinade. Then, simply brush with oil and grill.

  • 1 cup fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon medium curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Method:

  • Using a pestle and mortar, crush the fresh coriander until it becomes a paste. You may land up discarding some of the straggly stalks that just won't crush! Add the other ingredients and continue to crush until you have a paste.
