Baked Salmon Fillet Recipe

This Baked Salmon Fillet Recipe is one of those easy summer dinner recipes.

You can adapt this recipe and cook the salmon on the barbeque or under the grill, in which case you can reduce the cooking time by a few minutes. This recipe will work well if you are after basa fish fillet recipes; it will also work with any white fish that you may have caught or bought.

  • Easy
  • Preparation time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 minutes
  • Serves 4
  • Ingredients:

  • 1½ lbs / 700g fresh salmon fillets, cut into portions
  • 4 tablespoons sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground smoked paprika
  • A little oil
  • Method:

    1. Heat the oven to 400° F / 200° C.
    2. Grease a baking pan with a little oil. Place the salmon fillets, skin side down on the pan.
    3. Mix together the sour cream, lemon juice and paprika. Brush the mixture over the salmon.
    4. Cook for 7 - 10 minutes. We like our salmon slightly underdone in the middle. Cook yours for an extra minute if you like yours well cooked all the way through.
    5. Serve with boiled new potatoes and fresh asparagus or a salad.
    6. Remember that leftovers can be used in Fish Pie Recipe.

If you want to ring the changes, you can use the marinade from Grilled Chicken Marinade Recipe.
